Time to Reflect
Today I will offer you some questions. I won’t unpack them; perhaps another time, but right now they come to you open-ended for your contemplation. Notice what comes up for you as you sit with each one. Jot down your thoughts in a notes app or in a journal, or maybe you find it helpful to speak thoughts aloud. Even if these questions are ones you have asked yourself before, sit with them again and see what arises this time. Give some space for each question, pick just one to spend deep time, or reflect on a different prompt each day — whatever feels like it flows for you. May you meet yourself with courage, honesty, and grace.
. . .
Are you resting or are you recovering?
How do you self-isolate? How might you take the scary risk to resist this impulse and move toward intimacy?
What role does urgency play in your life? Are there ways you can lean into slowness? Think about a situation that is stressful to you; how do you feel when you imagine allowing slowness in it rather than tackling it urgently?
How can you pay a little more attention to your sensations today? Consider your breath, what hunger feels like, how your feet feel as weight presses into them with each step. What is it like to notice your sensations?
In this moment, is your body constricted or is it loose?
. . .
Blessings on your reflection. I hope it leads you home to yourself in new ways.
